Natural American Spirit is known for its commitment to quality and sustainability. It offers 100% additive-free, natural tobacco, reflecting a dedication to purity and authenticity.
The Challenge
Our challenge was redesigning the GTR environment in Sangster Airport, Jamaica dialling up premiumness primarily for an American audience.

Concept Ideation
In this stage, we aimed to capture the essence of Native American spirit by carefully selecting colours, materials, and finishes (CMF) that reflect its cultural richness and depth. Using these CMF references as inspiration, we began with broad sketch ideation, eventually narrowing down to two main concepts. These ideas were further developed into sketch renders, which you can see below.
Design Selection
Concept One was chosen for further development, with plans for manufacturing and installation in Stangster Airport, Jamaica. Inspired by Native American patterns and forms, this design embodies a blend of tradition and sophistication. We carefully curated a material palette that adds depth and a sense of premium quality to the unit, enhancing its overall impact and presence.
Design for Manufacture
Once we finalised a design we were satisfied with, we collaborated closely with an in-country manufacturer to prepare it for production. Below, you’ll find a 360-degree view of our final structure, along with a series of engineering drawings we produced to support this process.
Installation
The unit was installed in the summer of 2024, and the same design language was applied to a display at Cancun Airport in Mexico. There are also plans to roll out this design to additional locations in the future.
